Six days after we adults were confirmed with the coranavirus, it was time to test three out of four children (Luna was to young). The test results came the next day and another seven days of quarantine awaited. When we had already spent seven days with fully healthy children, trapped in an apartment, we felt it was time to split up for a while.
My two children and I filled the car with tents, packing and food to be able to camp for a few days. We decided (when we were in the car) for Glaskogen’s nature reserve, a few miles from Arvika.
Kids loved it! Me to for that matter. We have camped on several occasions before so it was no surprise but it’s nice that we felt the same. Missed the girls at home of course but I think we all need a little break sometimes when you live thst close to each other.
When the children fell asleep, I sat in nature and just listened and took photos for an hour. Unfortunately did not get any great pictures but still enjoyed it.
The next day we decided to change the tent site. After a stop at a bathing spot, the kids want to go home again even though they said it was a lot of fun camping. As I wanted the trip to be a fun thing that they continue to do, we decided to go home and do it again several times during the summer instead.
Can definitely recommend Glaskogen, its nature and lakes. 300 km of hiking trails for those who are up for it!
